The WA Government has unveiled detailed design renders for the $451 million Bunbury Regional Hospital redevelopment, marking the largest upgrade of a regional hospital in Western Australia’s history.
DCWC is excited to provide comprehensive cost management services for this significant project, which aims to ensure South West residents have access to a modern facility that meets their evolving healthcare needs.
Upon completion, the redevelopment will significantly enhance hospital services, including the addition of medical and intensive care beds, an expanded emergency department, and increased operating theatre capacity. It will also feature new and expanded maternity, birthing, and neonatal services, a dedicated mental health observation area, and expanded mental health inpatient facilities, along with state-of-the-art clinical equipment and sterilisation support facilities.
Additionally, the redevelopment will deliver WA's first regional training, education and research centre to support staff across all health disciplines to upskill and complete training pathways.
Construction works are set to commence in early 2025.
