An Associate Project Manager with a strong background in construction and site management, since joining DCWC in 2021, Matt has rapidly advanced his project management skills across various sectors, including tertiary, retail, justice, and commercial/mixed-use developments. Notable projects include Murdoch University's New Academic Building, the University of Melbourne's New Student Precinct, numerous projects with Vicinity Centres at their Chadstone and Emporium shopping centres as well as Victoria Police's Werribee and Benalla stations.
His composed and systematic approach, combined with outstanding management of client and stakeholder relationships, guarantees the clear definition and achievement of project objectives and deliverables. Matt excels in steering projects to successful outcomes through intricate stakeholder engagement and governance processes, all while keeping the project's overall momentum. He enjoys bringing all ideas to the table and ensuring projects provide a space for open discussion to facilitate collaboration and best for project outcomes.
Experience from ideation/concept/feasibility to defects liability enables Matt to add value throughout all project phases. His construction background enables him to add value in guiding project teams to review and address key risks as early as possible in the design process.
His exposure to premium retail assets has included resolution and negotiation of tenant and landlord requirements to achieve mutually beneficial project outcomes and to ensure leasing & tenant requirements are communicated and understood by the wider project team.
