Melissa de Klerk, Executive Director of NSW at Donald Cant Watts Corke

Congratulations to Melissa de Klerk on her appointment as Executive Director of NSW at DCWC!

We are excited to announce that Melissa de Klerk has joined DCWC as Executive Director of our NSW business. Melissa brings to DCWC a wealth of experience in project development, program and project management for global retailers and government organisations.

On this exciting appointment, CEO Jonathan Caughey commented “Melissa’s appointment marks a significant milestone for DCWC in NSW.  In addition to her experience and capability in the market, she brings with her leadership values of integrity, honesty and professionalism. I have full confidence that Melissa will lead the NSW business to success and strengthen our Executive team with her national network of contacts, delivering exceptional outcomes for our valued clients.”

Having successfully led national teams on programs worth hundreds of millions of dollars, Melissa has a proven track record of managing complex projects with numerous concurrent workstreams. She has played a pivotal role in developing new format offers for global and local retailers, demonstrating her ability to adapt to diverse client needs.

Melissa expressed her enthusiasm for this exceptional opportunity, stating, "I am eagerly anticipating the unique prospects that lie ahead. Although we are currently a small team, I am confident we will be a growing team.  Our diversity and unwavering dedication empower us to transform the NSW business into an extraordinary venture – I believe we have an untapped market of great clients ahead of us."

In her previous role as Business Unit Leader of Program Delivery at APP Corporation, Melissa was instrumental in building new business in the retail and convenience sectors.   She has extensive experience in delivering large national program rollouts for clients such as Viva Energy, Caltex, Nashi, KFC, Hungry Jacks, Guzman Y Gomez and Goodlife Early Learning Centres. 

She has a strong understanding of risk management through her tenure at Schools Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) where she led the Design & Technical Standards team before leading the Gateway and Business Case assurance, Construction Quality Assurance, and construction project WHS. She also developed a continuous improvement program at SINSW to capture best practice across NSW.
