Joining our leadership team are a new Director, an Associate Director, and an Associate, alongside promotions to Senior Quantity Surveyor and Senior Project Manager. These talented professionals bring fresh perspectives, unwavering commitment, and a drive to elevate our clients, projects, and studio culture. Congratulations Henry, Chris, Janine, William, Michael and Matthew!
Henry Ashton – Director
Henry Ashton has been promoted to Director and serves as the national sector lead for Aviation at DCWC, bringing over 20 years of civil engineering experience. With a robust background in client-side project delivery, consultancy, and collaboration with Tier 1 contractors, Henry excels in managing projects across their entire lifecycle, from concept design to execution. A cornerstone of DCWC’s Project Management team, Henry has successfully spearheaded critical airside infrastructure projects at Melbourne Airport including multiple taxiways and the current third runway, showcasing his expertise in delivering large-scale, complex initiatives.
Chris Arnold – Associate Director
Since joining DCWC, Chris has fostered strong client relationships and delivered a wide array of high-profile projects across multiple sectors. His leadership and technical expertise have been instrumental in the success of landmark developments such as Victoria University’s City Tower campus, Scape Student Accommodation, the University of Melbourne's Werribee Vet School, and Deakin University’s LC Building. Currently, Chris is contributing to the Queen Victoria Market Precinct Renewal programme, where his collaborative approach and vision continue to drive project success.
Janine Jonathan – Associate
Janine brings over 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, including measurement, bill production, and contract administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the University of the Free State and is a member of AIQS, RICS, and SACQSP. Since joining DCWC in 2023, Janine has made a remarkable impact within the Infrastructure sector, combining technical expertise with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Her contributions span a diverse portfolio of building projects across South Africa and Australia.
William Chen – Senior Quantity Surveyor
William is recognised for his adept stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities. With over eight years of professional experience, William blends his Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Melbourne with exceptional cost management skills. His meticulous approach to project delivery ensures outstanding results in construction consulting and cost-effective solutions for clients.
Michael Kil – Senior Project Manager
With a wealth of experience in construction, program management, capital works, and large-scale asset upgrades, Michael’s expertise spans private and government sectors, where he has successfully managed contractors at all levels, from onsite trades to head contractors, while navigating intricate construction contracts. With key projects including the Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre and Queen Victoria Market’s Market Infrastructure project, his collaborative approach and breadth of knowledge make him a valuable asset to every project he leads.
Matthew Walker – Senior Project Manager
Matthew’s promotion to Senior Project Manager reflects his ability to navigate complex, highly regulated environments such as Melbourne Airport. His proactive and detail-oriented management style enables him to anticipate and address challenges before they arise, minimisng risks and ensuring smooth project execution. With a broad range of civil service and road projects within Melbourne Airports Business Park and airfield, Matthew’s deep understanding of client reporting requirements and strong relationships with stakeholders have made him a trusted leader within the team.
