The Role

Your role as an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with us will be dynamic, diverse and demanding. Balancing autonomy with teamwork, you'll collaborate closely with a team that's driving forward our varied pipeline of projects. The ideal candidate will have practical experience across all aspects of Quantity Surveying, as well as demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • At least 5-10 years post-qualification experience in the WA market
  • Experience essential in all aspects of Quantity Surveying including:
  • Ability and Experience to undertake and manage Pre-Contract works including:

     - Ability to led challenging projects
     - Measurement of quantities
     - Preparation of cost plans and estimates cost plans through the life cycle of the project
     - Benchmarking
     - Value and Risk Management
     - Life Cycle Costing
     - Cashflow preparation
     - Bills of Quantities
     - Tender Review, Analysis and Recommendations

  • · Ability to undertake and manage Post Contract / Contract Administration works including:

     - Measurement and assessment of variations
     - Assessment and Recommendation of progress claims
     - Preparation of Monthly Financial Reports
     - Cashflow management
     - Bank reports
     - Project cost analysis and input into preparation of cost data bases
     - Quality Assurance requirements including documentation and assistance with internal            audit requirements
     - Experience with CostX (preferred)

  • · Ability and experience managing and leading a project team, including quality and   
      utilisation

     - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to thrive under pressure and meet        multiple, conflicting deadlines in a calm professional manner
     - Strong negotiation and report writing skills
     - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
     - Strong analytical skills and proactive problem solver with the ability to work both                    autonomously and part of a team

  • Effective stakeholder engagement and client delivery experience including:

     - Expanding DCWC’s service offering with existing clients
     - Developing relationships with alliance partners (such as architects) and prospects to              generate new opportunities and repeat business
  • Actively demonstrate behaviours consistent with DCWC’s values at all times
  • Willingness to perform other duties, as reasonably required, including administrative tasks within the office
  • Relevant undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying and/or Construction Management
  • Experience in Services Cost Management desirable but not essential
  • You must be eligible to work in Australia with full working rights in your visa, or as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
