DCWC provided Quantity Surveying services for the construction of KOPWA's new 102-bed residential aged care home.

Completed in 2022, this project was intended to enhance facilities for elderly residents by integrating modern design features and improving operational efficiency. Surpassing industry benchmarks, it earned the prestigious Master Builders Excellence in Construction Award in 2023.

The initial phase commenced with the demolition of existing residential homes to clear space for a newly constructed aged care facility with 50 beds. This stage also included the addition of an underground parking area to maximise space. Once this phase was completed, residents from the old nursing home relocated to the new facility, allowing work on the next stage to commence.

During the second phase, the old nursing home was demolished, and a new wing containing an additional 52 beds was built. This carefully planned approach ensured minimal disruption to residents while increasing the facility’s overall capacity.

DCWC provided quantity surveying services to support a bank funder. Our role included completing an initial cost estimate, reviewing costs to support the funder's investment, and completing post-contract monthly cost monitoring.
