Their latest project, the Huang Ying Jung Nursing Home, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet residents' needs while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. The facility boasts 78 single rooms and 6 double rooms, each equipped with private ensuites. It also features thoughtful design features that prioritise accessibility, sustainability, and functionality. Cultural and social considerations for both residents and staff are integral to the design, ensuring a harmonious living and working environment.

Private Room Features:

  • Air-conditioning for comfort
  • Electric beds to support tailored care
  • Bedside tables, drawers, and built-in wardrobes for convenience
  • Visitor chairs designed for comfort
  • A 24-hour nurse call system for safety and peace of mind

Common Area Highlights:

  • Four wings, including one dedicated dementia wing on the lower ground floor
  • Each wing features its own nurse station, treatment room, dining area, servery, kitchenette, and utility rooms
  • Multiple lounges and leisure corners for socialising and hosting visitors
  • A large multipurpose function room with a stage and projector for activities and performances
  • A fully equipped gymnasium where residents can maintain fitness with the assistance of physiotherapists and lifestyle coordinators

DCWC played a key role in bringing this project to life by providing expert quantity surveying services. Our responsibilities included preparing initial cost estimates, validating project costs for the bank funder, and conducting meticulous monthly cost monitoring throughout the post-contract phase. Additionally, we delivered detailed cost reports and contract administration services, ensuring the project stayed on track and met all expectations.

The result is a modern, thoughtfully designed aged care facility tailored to meet the diverse needs of its residents while maintaining the highest standards of quality and care.
