Our newly established partnership with Curtin University reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting students from underrepresented groups who face significant circumstances that affect their studies.

We're proud to announce Billy Drew, a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management, has been awarded our inaugural $10,000 cash scholarship. This financial support enables recipients to confidently allocate funds according to their educational or personal priorities, removing barriers that affect their ability to study.

From the regional town of Kalgoorlie, Billy relocated to Perth three years ago to pursue his degree. With a regional perspective, he understands how construction shapes communities and enhances the way people live and work—an outlook that aligns with DCWC’s core values.

Project Director Craig McNair shared, “The selection panel was impressed by Billy’s resilience and dedication. Despite facing significant personal challenges over the past year, including the loss of his father and the financial pressures of living away from home, Billy has maintained a strong focus on his education. Beyond his studies, he actively contributes to the student community as a tutor and volunteers his time to support others.”
