DCWC's Project Management team has been actively supporting STEPtember for over six years, demonstrating a strong commitment to raising awareness and funds for cerebral palsy research and support services. Committing to 10,000 steps every day during September, this year they surpassed their fundraising goal by raising $2,000!

STEPtember is more than just a fitness challenge; it's a movement aimed at generating awareness and funds for cerebral palsy (CP), which is the most common physical disability in childhood. CP is an umbrella term for a group of disorders that affect movement and posture, resulting from damage to the developing brain during pregnancy or shortly after birth. While it's a lifelong condition, it typically does not worsen over time. CP impacts various aspects of bodily control, including movement, muscle coordination, tone, and balance, and can also be associated with other impairments such as visual, learning, hearing and speech challenges.
By participating in STEPtember, DCWC's Project Management team is helping to create a world of opportunity for individuals living with cerebral palsy, making a meaningful positive impact with every step taken and every dollar raised.
