Navigating the complexities of a challenging site with a limited footprint, the design culminated in a tall and elegant tower housing 483 bedrooms across 288 apartments, DCWC provided comprehensive cost management, project management, and superintendent services throughout the project.
The development also features communal facilities, a basement plant, and ground-level commercial spaces. The thoughtfully curated mix of apartments accommodates a variety of living arrangements, from single and twin studios to four and five-bedroom cluster rooms. Extensive communal facilities are included to promote student well-being and foster social interaction.
Located within the King Street Heritage Precinct, the design preserves and incorporates key elements of the existing structure, particularly the heritage-listed Wellington and Queen Street facades of the Globe Backpacker site, complemented by a series of conservation works undertaken.
