Designed by John Wardle Architects, the Learning and Teaching Building at Monash University serves as a gateway to the southern precinct of the Clayton Campus.
The building was designed to enhance innovative teaching and learning practices for both students and staff. It serves as a physical testament to Monash University's commitment to their Better Teaching, Better Learning agenda.
Covering 29,000 square meters over four levels, the building features more than 60 formal and informal learning and teaching spaces, creating an exceptional student-centred learning experience. It is the new home for the Faculty of Education and the Office of the Vice-Provost for Learning and Teaching.
The project also included the creation of a new public transport interchange, a basement parking facility with 850 spaces, and a landscape redesign that revitalised the southern precinct.
