DCWC was engaged to deliver comprehensive quantity surveying services for a cutting-edge distribution centre in Merrifield Business Park, Victoria. Originally commissioned by German supermarket giant Kaufland, the project resulted in one of the largest distribution centres in Australia.

The 100,000-square-metre facility, set on a sprawling 28-hectare site, was designed to include state-of-the-art features such as temperature-controlled storage, recessed loading docks, and modern office spaces. Key elements of the project included 107,000m² of concrete hardstand, 168 recessed loading docks, 73,200m² of warehouse space, a 4,000m² office and entry building, ancillary buildings totaling 3,700m², a 10,500m² freezer facility, and a 1,000m² social building.

Despite the facility's impressive scope, Kaufland ultimately decided not to proceed with plans to enter the Australian market during the construction phase. The property was later sold to a local transport and distribution company.
