Deakin Law School Building (LC) has reached completion. Our team is delighted to have been engaged to provide Project Management, Superintendency and specialist MEP Quantity Surveying services for Deakin’s impressive new Law School Building.
DCWC specialist MEP Quantity Surveyors also provided input assessing the Main Contractors monthly progress claim and variations for mechanical, electrical, communications, security, hydraulics (Fire, dry/wet) trade packages.
Deakin Building LC is the largest project undertaken by the university to date and is situated on the Elgar Rd side of the Burwood Campus. Accommodating 27 flat floor learning and teaching spaces along with a tiered lecture theatre, gymnasium, wellness centre, informal learning and workplace spaces, the building provides a hub for the Elgar Rd side of the campus. The new building is now also home to the Faculty of Law and incorporates an external café within a revitalised landscaped setting.
Building LC has been designed to a 5 Star, Green Star standard featuring a photovoltaic array to the rooftop, 600,000L underground rainwater reuse tank and internal wintergarden space inclusive of a glazed louvered facade.
