As part of Men's Health Week, DCWC welcomed Richard Hocart, Ken Bezant and Kent Brinklow to our Perth office to share their knowledge and experience with prostate cancer.
As part of international Men's Health Week, our Perth office hosted a special event featuring prostate cancer survivors Richard Hocart and Ken Bezant, as well as Kent Brinklow who represented Boston Scientific. Kent Brinklow discussed the latest scientific advancements in detecting and treating prostate cancer, emphasising that early diagnosis can significantly improve post-surgery symptoms such as erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.
Richard Hocart shared his experience dealing with urinary incontinence and mental health challenges, while fellow cancer survivor Ken Bezant talked about the difficulties he faced with erectile dysfunction.
We're greatly appreciative to Richard, Ken and Kent who were able to educate us on prostate cancer, which is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. Richard also participates in The Long Run and nominates his funds to patient sessions with PCFA Nurses. To support his efforts, DCWC will be donating to this incredible organisation.
