DCWC’s ACT Director, Michael Chant, attended the 2019 Supply Nation Connect event in Sydney on the 8th and 9th May.
Supply Nation has been key to providing the support, tools and environment for Indigenous businesses to succeed; and education for 100% Australian owned businesses like DCWC, to support and be a part of this initiative.
DCWC is committed to Australian Government initiatives with respect to stimulating Indigenous entrepreneurship and business development and to providing Indigenous Australians with more opportunities to participate in the Australian economy. DCWC is a proud member of Supply Nation and we look forward to developing this relationship in the future.
DCWC has an established Indigenous Business Enterprise (IBE) Working Group that is focused on developing, driving and communicating positive initiatives with respect to Indigenous procurement across all DCWC business unit. So far this has resulted in solid supply chain diversification, targeted recruitment and targeted scholarship programs. DCWC will continue to grow our participation in this space and ensure we play our part in creating a more inclusive economy.
Connect 2019 has been a wonderfully informative networking event and we were delighted to participate.
