Donald Cant Watts Corke has been announced as the financier’s certifier for the Spark Consortium which has been awarded the North East Link Primary Package PPP in Melbourne.
The Spark Consortium comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction, China Construction Oceania, Ventia, Capella Capital, John Laing Investments, Pacific Partnerships and DIF who will build, finance, operate and maintain the tunnels of Melbourne’s long-awaited North East Link during the development phase and the next 25 years for the operations phase.
The North East Link Project is a much anticipated project which was designated as a high priority infrastructure project for the State in its 30-Year Infrastructure Strategy released in 2016. The project is jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian governments.
The North East Link will provide three-lane twin tunnels that close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network. Once completed, the project gives local roads back to local communities of up to 135,000 vehicles each day, with travel times slashed between Melbourne’s north and south east by up to 35 minutes.
Donald Cant Watts Corke is Australia’s leading provider of independent end-to-end project services for over 50 years.
