Supporting Earth Hour 2018

Written by DCWC Team | March 18, 2018

Donald Cant Watts Corke is proud to be taking part in this year’s Earth Hour, which has grown into the world’s largest grassroots movement for climate change action. As an organisation we are committed to ensuring environmental sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do, which is why we are encouraging everyone to get behind this important event.

The concept is simple, on Saturday 24 March 2018 at 8.30pm, everyone is encouraged to switch off all non-essential electric lights for one hour - Earth Hour - to unite people to protect the planet and show they care about its future.

What started off as a small lights-off event Sydney in 2007, the movement has now grown to more than 7,000 cities and towns around the world.

Along with Donald Cant Watts Corke, millions of Australians are expected to take part on Saturday as a symbol of support for a low pollution, clean energy future for all generations.

Additionally, beyond Earth Hour, our firm is committed to ensuring we protect the environment through minimising the direct and indirect impact of our business activities.

Through the engagement and involvement of all staff, Donald Cant Watts Corke maintains an environmental management system appropriate to the environmental impacts of our activities and services.

From purchasing recycled and/or biodegradable products where possible, to minimising our carbon footprint in the way we commute to and from work and travel interstate, Donald Cant Watts Corke is actively committed to creating a positive future.
