Ground was broken at the Taxiway Zulu site yesterday, with the sod turning ceremony taking place yesterday morning. DCWC is thrilled to be providing Project Management Services for Melbourne Airport’s significant $300M taxiway expansion.
The Taxiway Zulu project comprises of the construction of 300,000m2 plus of new pavements across new, extended and realigned taxiways in the north of the airfield enabling future expansion of the international terminal as well as the new Northern Access Route incorporating security screening facility and roads infrastructure, all to be constructed by Fulton Hogan.
As the largest single airfield investment for the airport since it’s opening in 1970, the new taxiway network will provide valuable additional space for aircraft traffic, improving the efficiency of movements on the ground as well as supporting the growth in Melbourne’s international connectivity.

DCWC is delighted to be project managing this challenging project which continues our longstanding relationship with Melbourne Airport from the delivery of the T4 Carpark and Southern Precinct Roads, Terminal 4, BALTE Terminal Expansion to name a few, and with Fulton Hogan, with whom we delivered the Foxtrot Apron Project.
