Donald Cant Watts Corke joins Melbourne Polytechnic Collingwood redevelopment project partners for sod-turning

Written by DCWC Team | October 24, 2022

We celebrated a major milestone for Melbourne Polytechnic on Tuesday 18 October, joining The Hon Richard Wynne MP in turning the first sod for the Collingwood redevelopment!

Slated to revitalise and transform the site, the $40 million redevelopment will deliver state-of-the-art education services to the local community. Donald Cant Watts Corke is proud to be project manager, superintendent, and quantity surveyor for this crucial project.

We must also acknowledge the immense effort by all involved in the redevelopment, especially in what we now recognise industry-wide as a volatile market:

Thanks to Tectura Architects, Building Engineering, Creo Consultants, ACOR Consultants Pty Ltd, Site Image Landscape Architects & Public Art Consultants, WSP, Philip Chun Building Compliance, and RED Fire Engineers.

Thank you to Tony McNamara – Director, Project Management (Vic), and Chris Arnold – Associate, Project Management (Vic), for representing DCWC at this special event.

And a special thank you to Melbourne Polytechnic; CEO, Frances Coppolillo; Board Chair, Helen Clarke; Minister for Training & Skills and Higher Education, The Hon Gayle Tierney MP; and state member for Richmond and former Minister for Planning, The Hon Richard Wynne MP.
