This project aimed to enhance the facilities for the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, ensuring students had access to a premier research institution, prompted by an accreditation review from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), which pinpointed critical areas needing improvement to uphold the School’s accreditation.
The redevelopment project included a new 6,000sqm learning & teaching building and refurbishment of the existing Veterinary Hospital, along with refurbishment and expansion of the existing car parks and campus-wide landscape and infrastructure improvements. Improvements to campus accessibility were made with a focus on pedestrian safety. Despite a strict budget, the project succeeded due to close collaboration with architects and builders, effectively managing multiple phases within a tight timeline.
Key outcomes for the project were reaccreditation of the VET School and a 6-satr Greenstar rating for the new learning & teaching building.
