This $500M program of works encompassed the delivery of Terminal 4 at Melbourne Airport, along with the design, procurement and construction of the Terminal 4 Multi-Level Structure (MLS) Car Park and associated major road and services works.

The Terminal included a state-of-the-art call-to-gate design with a retail and restaurant hub, new concourse and aircraft Pier G, boarding gates and airfield pavements, security screening and baggage handling facilities. With a capacity to handle 10 million passengers annually, this terminal significantly enhances airport operations.

In addition, the MLS car park and roads component included a 3,500 bay car park with public transport hub, drop-off and pick-up facilities, new taxi staging area, new main services tunnel, elevated roads, new Melrose Drive duplication and long term car park works to facilitate the ongoing growth of Melbourne Airport.

The program required careful navigation of many complexities resulting from interfaces with ground transport, landside business, airside operations, airlines, retail tenants, public transport operators, utility scale service (incl. high-voltage (HV), water, gas, communications infrastructure) and much more.

DCWC delivered comprehensive Project and Programme Management as well as Superintendent services for the program of works.  Both facilities were delivered successfully and opened to the public October 2015.
