The master plan for Oakhill College is ongoing with their Innovation Hub and Hilltop Precinct delivering brand new educational facilities for the entire community of Oakhill College Secondary School; a project DCWC is thrilled to be providing full Quantity Surveying services for.

The project features the re-landscaping of the entire centre of the campus, known as the Hilltop Precinct, and placing all teaching spaces facing open onto a central learning precinct linking all buildings with covered walkways, new hard surface, and green areas, in addition to ramped walkways to lower levels.

The 4200sqm hybrid construction learning space, known as the Innovation Hub is designed as a mass timber structure using Passivhaus principles, to provide state-of-the-art facilities, throughout science labs, hybrid workshops, and large multi-purpose spaces.

Donald Cant Watts Corke was a part of the early procurement of a timber specialist, to ensure the hybrid construction strategy mitigated any potential risks involved in the importing of the timber members. A timber specialist/supplier was engaged in the project to solve this prior to the main contract tenders.
