Donald Cant Watts Corke provided services in quantity surveying, post contract services, engineering services review and tender negotiation for the NewActon Nishi project.

NewActon Nishi is a radically sustainable development in the heart of Canberra. The mixed-use building complex includes the new office headquarters for the Department of climate change and Energy Efficiency, 235 passive-designed residential apartments, as well as a 68 room boutique hotel and eight-screen cinema.

The design will set a new benchmark for residential and commercial sustainable development Australia-wide.

Since engagement on the project, Donald Cant Watts Corke has assisted the Molonglo Group recover in excess of $3 million in project savings, due to post contract negotiations. We have also added value by providing input on subcontractor and supplier selection in a very tight and busy market.

Input has also been provided by our Engineering Services team in regards to the review of services tender documentation and tender negotiation. This helped the client achieve in the order of $500,000 in additional savings.
