Murdoch University's South Street campus will soon be transformed with the development of Western Australia’s largest mass engineered timber building, Murdoch University's Building 360.

DCWC is thrilled to be providing Project Management services for the project, which is targeting a 6-star energy rating and achieving a 6 Star Green Star Ecologically Sustainable Development. Setting a new benchmark for commitment to design innovation and sustainable practices throughout the broader property and construction industry.

Building 360 will be constructed with a timber structure sourced from sustainable suppliers in Australia and Europe, a roof that will be fitted with photovoltaic cells to serve as a renewable energy generator, as well as naturally ventilated and mixed mode systems to reduce energy consumption.

Comprising approximately 16,000m2 over four floors, Building 360 provides spaces that allow more innovative use of technology and teaching approaches. The spaces include immersive industry collaboration facilities that will enable students to interact with industry and learn skills to tackle real world scenarios as they undertake their studies.

Completion is expected in early 2023.
