Designed by John Wardle Architects, The Learning and Teaching Building forms a new gateway to the southern precinct of Monash University Clayton Campus. Open to all students and staff it is designed to further innovative teaching and learning practices.

The building is a physical demonstration of Monash's commitment to their Better Teaching, Better Learning agenda.

The 29,000 m² building over four levels has more than 60 formal and informal learning and teaching spaces that provide an outstanding student-centred learning experience. The new building is home to the Faculty of Education and the Office of the Vice-Provost (Learning and Teaching).

The project also included a new public transport interchange, a 850 space basement car park and new landscape package transforming the southern precinct.

Completed on time and under budget, the building was open in time for the start of Semester 1 2018.
