Central Queensland HHS Strategic Asset Planning

Written by DCWC Team | Dec 20, 2017 5:10:00 AM

Donald Cant Watts Corke assessed CQHHS’ asset management performance under the AMMP framework by engaging a diverse group of stakeholders to collate relevant data and statistics on operational performance, cost analysis and risks posed by maintenance backlog.

We compared the performance against benchmarked data across all Queensland HHS and developed a Summary Report for submission to Queensland Health

Having ascertained CQHHS’ baseline performance we completed a strategic review of the HHS Clinical Service Plan, Central Queensland Health Destination 2030 and Advancing Health 2026 to develop a TAMP. We undertook a comprehensive review of assets to determine the highest priority gaps requiring capital funding.

Our team provided important insights based on extensive clinical experience to support the prioritisation of asset requirements for future clinical service delivery. In doing so we ensured emerging Models of Care and the new health service landscape under a Hub and Spoke Model were considered.

We presented the strategic context for CQHHS’ future infrastructure requirements and developed a TAMP that aligns with corporate strategic objectives and projected future clinical demand. This helped to build the case for new capital investment and enhanced preparedness for the adoption of the Queensland Health Strategic Asset Management Planning (SAMP) framework in 2018.
