Blue Care opened its new Townsville Mt Louisa Aged Care Facility in September 2016. The purpose-built facility features the collocation of residential aged care, allied health and respite care and was completed one month ahead of schedule.
The 70 bed single level facility has a 16 bed memory support unit with secure landscaped gardens. Built to suit the north Queensland conditions, the building is surrounded by landscaped gardens, shaded areas and outside terraces. All residents enjoy the benefit of their own room and ensuites to enhance privacy and comfort.
