Donald Cant Watts Corke provided program management services in the development and implementation of a comprehensive energy management program.

We supported the ANU to develop a coordinated Energy Management Plan that provided a strategic context for the University and a prioritised implementation program for energy management.

We supported the ANU with program implementation by developing the Feasibility Assessment and Detailed Design for three cogeneration energy systems totalling 6MW of on-site power generation.

Additionally, we procured and initialised energy management software, Greentrac, across the computer fleet to enhance data analytics and reduce computer down-time.

To enable real-time measurement and monitoring of energy consumption we facilitated an extensive Smart electricity meter rollout across the Acton Campus. We ensured integration with the existing Energy Management System and sustainability dashboard screens to enable the demonstration of University-wide energy performance as well as other, key sustainability metrics.

These initiatives provided demonstrated cost savings and progress against energy reduction targets that laid the foundation for the development of the ANU Environmental Management Plan – Energy Management section.
