The Years 5 and 6 Centre, spanning over 3 levels, includes a roof terrace garden, six classrooms, four project-based learning rooms, staff offices and a multipurpose area on each level.

Donald Cant Watts Corke worked closely with the design team and the construction manager to achieve a high quality, innovative result.

Sustainable initiatives have been integrated into the building, including Photovoltaic energy cells, a weather station, rainwater collection, thermal mass and mixed mode ventilation.

The sustainable outcomes are monitored and displayed on screens within the school and data utilised in the Years 5 and 6 curriculum.

Working closely with the contractor, Donald Cant Watts Corke provided a turnkey solution for the same price as the base build by scrutinising individual packages. Delivering the project under budget allowed the school to further complete extensive landscaping including two full sports courts and a long jump pit.
