Project overview

The Forensic Mental Health system functions through multiple groups: the Victorian Departments of Health and Justice, private prison service providers and community groups. This complex project required a strategic approach to find solutions that were accepted by both the health and justice systems.

The Health Advisory team facilitated the mapping of patient flows through the system, and developed a demand model examining three scenarios of projected future demand for forensic mental health beds.
