Upon completion of the building, there was a phased approach to move into the new facility as fitout of some components of the building were to occurring post-practical completion.
Key project elements include:

  • Enabling students to receive instruction and practical experience in structural engineering and testing
  • Dedicated areas for postgraduate students and 120 capacity flexi-laboratory spaces
  • New three and four storey structures covering 6,500m²
  • World-class visualisation theatres for immersive learning
  • Modern and attractive learning and collaborative spaces
