Bendigo Hospital, Victoria’s largest regional hospital development, sets a new benchmark for regional health. The contemporary structure encompasses an integrated regional cancer centre, 10 operating theatres, 372 inpatient beds and 72 same day beds.

In addition, there is a five-bed mother and baby unit, 80-bed mental health unit, as well as an onsite helipad and 1,316 car park spaces.

Donald Cant Watts Corke provided Independent Reviewer services on this state-of-the-art health facility.

Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley in collaboration with Bates Smart, the building was awarded the Victorian Development of the Year Award in 2018. This was possible due to the hard work to improve the quality of the partnership framework with the Exemplar Health Consortium consisting of Capella Capital, Lendlease, Spotless and Siemens.
