Announced earlier this month, the Studio won the WA Chapter, Award of Merit as well as the Award for Best in State – a highly regarded award for being the best project submitted across all categories.

The DIA Awards, seek to encourage innovation and recognition of exceptional contemporary design in Australia.

Additionally, the Perth Studio also won the Interior Design Excellence Award (IDEA) for Best Workplace under 1000m2.

Involving a restoration of the iconic Perth Hotel into a stylish open-plan office space, the new Perth Studio came first across all state categories, including workplace, commercial, residential and public space.

Featuring a re-design of the mezzanine atrium into a shared social area, the new studio boasts high ceilings, enclosed meeting areas, communal lounge spaces and flexible free-desk arrangements. The new interior retains many of the existing features of the 1897 building, creating an elegant, hotel-like aesthetic.

Global architecture firm Woods Bagot were commended for their focus on establishing a dynamic work environment. A spacious office, the new fit-out allows for future organisational growth and flexibility.

Congratulations to all involved for this incredible achievement!
