Cady Jorgensen, Project Manager at DCWC

Celebrating the women of DCWC for International Women in Construction Week and International Women's Day!

Today we're highlighting Cady Jorgensen to celebrate International Women in Construction Week and Friday’s International Women's Day.

Based out of our Perth office, Cady is a Project Manager who joined DCWC as a Cadet whilst pursuing her Construction Management degree.  She has always been drawn to the construction industry and the opportunity to work on diverse projects. Her passion for the field is what drives her to make a meaningful impact in the industry, including enhancing female participation.

One of Cady's standout achievements includes her contribution to the successful completion of Murdoch University's Boola Katitjin, an award-winning campus facility that was recently awarded the World's Best Higher Education Building for 2023 at the World Architecture Awards in Singapore.  Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, Cady played an important role in ensuring the project's successful delivery between our Perth and Melbourne teams.

Cady's advice for young women thinking of pursuing a career in the construction industry is to ensure they embrace confidence, speak up, and surround themselves with supportive mentors and colleagues. She also advocates for a healthy work-life balance through time management and task prioritisation.

Cady's current goal is to continue learning and developing her skills as a Project Manager to facilitate future career advancement within the construction industry. Thank you, Cady, for your continued contributions to DCWC and we look forward to witnessing your career growth.
