Angela Pavlovic, Senior Project Manager at DCWC

Celebrating the women of DCWC for international Women in Construction Week and International Women's Day!

To celebrate International Women in Construction Week and the approaching International Women's Day on Friday, we’re kicking off the week by highlighting women from across our business this week.

Today, we shine the spotlight on Angela Pavlovic, a Senior Project Manager with DCWC’s NSW team. Her journey with us began seven years ago when a friend transitioning to another role recommended an open position. Inspired by this opportunity, Angela went for the role and joined DCWC in May 2017!

Angela's path to project management was unexpected but rewarding. With a background in Environmental Science, her introduction to project management occurred through cross-training at her previous company's Environmental Projects Division. This exposure allowed her to grasp the fundamental principles of project management, setting her on a new professional trajectory.

Throughout her tenure at DCWC, Angela has demonstrated resilience and commitment, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. She attributes her strength to the supportive culture and teamwork ethos at DCWC, an aspect she believes is vital for overcoming challenges and fostering resilience within the team.

Among the various projects Angela has contributed to, the Coonamble Shire Council Public Art and Town Signage Installation holds a special place in her heart. Despite being the smallest project she's worked on, it resonated deeply with her due to its focus on fostering a shared identity among smaller towns. The project involved local artists and metalworkers in constructing public art and town signs, enriching the community and providing a sense of purpose. Angela's connection to the project even earned her a feature in the local paper!

Looking ahead, Angela is looking forward to the continued growth of our NSW business over the next five years, spurred by significant project wins that contribute to DCWC's broader success.

Thank you, Angela, for your continued contribution to DCWC - your ongoing commitment is greatly appreciated!
