About The Role

Our Quantity Surveying division is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, with solid experience in cost planning and post-contract activities to join the team.

Reporting to the experienced and talented management team comprised of the Managing Director and two Directors, this is an opportunity to grow your existing skills as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Based in St George's Terrace in the heart of Perth, you will work on a variety of interesting projects in sectors such as Health, Residential, Aviation, Sports & Leisure, Education, Commercial, Civic and Justice.

Typical responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Cost planning and estimating
  • Cost analysis and benchmarking
  • Value Management
  • Undertake research in relation to marketing pricing
  • Preparation of Bill of Quantities, project cash flows, reports, asset management and life cycle costing
  • Design option appraisal
  • Post contract cost control
  • Contract administration
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Resource management and planning
  • Fostering relationships with our alliance partners to ensure repeat business
  • Client interface and management
  • Other duties as reasonably required

About You

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • 5 - 7 years of post graduate experience in the Perth market working on build form projects
  • Ability and experience leading a project team
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to thrive under pressure and meet multiple, conflicting deadlines in a calm professional manner, both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Strong bill of quantities experience
  • Strong cost planning , cost management and reporting skills
  • Ability to establish and grow exceptional working relationships with colleagues, clients and potential clients
  • Report writing abilities
  • Client facing experience
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attitude towards teamwork and the ability to motivate and support other team members
  • Independent worker who is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience with CostX (preferred)
  • Relevant undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying and/or Construction Management
