Donald Cant Watts Corke today announced the appointment of Mr Peter Gill as the new Managing Director for their revitalised Infrastructure division.

“Infrastructure is a huge sector in Australia – which is evident through the many recent budget announcements committing millions of dollars to support the country and various states’ growing needs,” said Mr Glenn Corke, Group Managing Director.

“We have listened to our clients’ demands and explored where future opportunities lie. Combined with research, analysis and insight, the Group Board of Directors decided that our Infrastructure division needed to be born again.”

“It has taken a number of months to find the right candidate for this role, and we are delighted Peter Gill, has accepted the opportunity.”

“Having worked with Donald Cant Watts Corke over a decade ago; he is a highly experienced professional aligned with our values and where we want to take our business into the next decade,” explained Mr Corke.

Mr Gill has an accomplished track record in the infrastructure industry, with over 35 years' experience providing cost and contract management services on major infrastructure projects. He has a well-rounded skill set, with particular expertise in risk management and programme-level risk quantification.

Major projects Mr Gill has worked on include:

  • Aviation: Melbourne Airport, Western Sydney Airport including the Technical Advisory Role for Western Sydney Airport Rail;
  • Industrial: Power Supply to Wonthaggi Desalination Plant;
  • Mining, Oil and Gas: Queanbeyan to Jerrabomberra Gas Pipeline;
  • Ports and Marine: Bunbury Port Development;
  • Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Port Expansion;
  • Port of Melbourne (various projects);
  • Shipping Channel Navigation Aids;
  • Rail: Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project;
  • South Morang Rail Extension; Wodonga Rail Bypass;
  • Roads: CityLink Tullamarine Widening Project;
  • Woolgoolga to Ballina Upgrade;
  • Water and Sewer: Barwon Water Capital Works Alliance;
  • Melbourne Water (various projects);
  • Northern Sewerage Tunnel Stages 1 and 2; and
  • Expert Witness such as for the Barangaroo Development Authority.

Before relocating to Australia in 2005 where he then worked with Donald Cant Watts Corke for just over a year, Mr Gill has also worked in the United Kingdom and South Africa on a broad and diverse range of infrastructure and construction projects.

With a Master of Science in Engineering, Surveying and Space Geodesy from the University of Nottingham, Mr Gill has routinely applied his expert knowledge on critical infrastructure projects in a long list of different sectors including aviation, mining, marine, rail, roads and water-related infrastructure projects.
