Mackay Base Hospital is a new 380 bed hospital on a brownfield site.  Its development includes all decanting and staging within the existing hospital facility.

DCWC undertook a review of the approved masterplan and demonstrated that the budget provisions for construction to be completed in 2013 were too low.  The project team then produced a completely new masterplan with building efficiencies and less re-use of aged facilities and the new masterplan was accepted.

DCWC is providing full quantity surveying services from masterplan to post construction. Early works are currently under construction.
