The University of Queensland Oral Health Centre

DCWC provided estimating services and guaranteed Bills of Quantities to the UQ for the development of the UQ Oral Health Centre.

Due for completion in 2012, this 24,500m2 5 Star Green Star new oral health education and public facility will also comprise Australia's largest oral library.

Due to the complexity of the services, the cost management of this project was driven by the structure and services, rather than by typical architectural elements.  This required DCWC's Engineering Services team to be closely involved alongside our Quantity Surveying team.  This allowed for the preparation of multiple structural options to satisfy the design brief prior to close of detailed design.
