Monash Halls of Residence, Clayton VIC

DCWC undertook the project management services of the 600 bed Monash Halls of Residence Project at Clayton, Victoria.

The project was funded by NRAS and was completed two weeks ahead of program and under budget.  

The project achieved a 5 Star Green Star Design Rating under the Multi Unit Residential V1 Tool. It is now targeting an As Built Rating.

As part of the 5 Star Green Star rating, the project team made substantial achievements. These included the utilisation of grey water and storm water harvesting; the use of recycled building materials; the use of photovoltaic solar power to produce hot water; and the incorporation of natural ventilation and exhaust systems along with a range of thermal efficiencies.
