The ANZ Centre - Docklands, Melbourne

DCWC is proud to be associated with the iconic ANZ Centre, the new global headquarters of the ANZ bank. We were appointed Independent Certifier reporting jointly to both ANZ and the developer, Lend lease Development.

Located alongside the Yarra River in Melbourne’s Docklands precinct, this is the largest and ‘greenest’ single-tenanted commercial office building in Australia.

This $600 million project has achieved a 6 Star Green Star 'Office Design' rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. It includes extensive infrastructure improvements and a new commercial building with fully integrated fit out.

It will produce 70 per cent less greenhouse gas emissions and use about 50 per cent less potable water than a standard Australian commercial building. Environmentally sustainable design features include:

  • rooftop garden
  • wind turbines
  • tri-generation plant
  • solar panels
  • river cooling
  • under-floor air conditioning
  • black water recycling
  • rainwater harvesting
  • exterior sun shading
