Donald Cant Watts Corke wins AIQS Project of the Year Award for the Melbourne Convention Centre

The Victorian Chapter of the AIQS launched the AIQS award programme this year to honour the outstanding achievements of people and firms within the Quantity Surveying profession.

The Project of the Year Award recognises the achievement of significant innovation leading to improved commercial and environmental outcomes.

Donald Cant Watts Corke won the award for the Melbourne Convention Centre. The judges were impressed with the way this high profile project with tight timelines was managed. It displayed excellence in terms of ensuring that building and project sponsors had realistic expectations on what was a bespoke project.

 

ANZ Centre wins LEAF Award

The ANZ Centre in Melbourne has won the Emirates Glass Leaf Award for Commercial Building of the Year. The prestigious international award for architecture was awarded to Hassell and Lend Lease Design at the ninth annual LEAF (Leading European Architects Forum) Awards in London.

LEAF Awards judges said the ANZ Centre was a truly "magnificant" project which will "set a global environmental and social sustainability benchmark for others to follow".

Donald Cant Watts Corke provided Independent Certification services on the ANZ Centre project.
